The days ahead.....

Here we all are stuffed with turkey, dressing, and pie.  Now what?  Well in our family we are starting to get ready for Christmas.  Setting up a tree, reading our advent story, and cooking peppermint candy. (We are all done shopping for one another : )

I LOVE Christmas shopping for my family!  I could not wait to get started!  (So, now, I am done really early : )  And in my mind I have lots of things I want to bake and cook, candy, cookies, and cinnamon rolls.  There is so much that I want to do and am excited about.....but....most important thing of all that sometimes I don't pay as close attention as I should.  It is that Christmas is the time when we think and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus.

I can get SO rapped up in the busyness and excitement of the season and forget (at lest for a moment) what I am really suppose to be doing and thinking about.

Jesus, our King, came into this world as a humble baby.....to save US!  Sinner's that do not deserve to draw the breath that our King gives us!  But since He is a kind and merciful King, He gave Himself for US!

Let us all, remember why we really celebrate Christmas.  And NEVER forget what He has done for US!

Do you go through similar experiences and thoughts?  I would LOVE to hear form you! : )

Give Thanks!

This is the time of the year that we really think about what we are thankful for.  Of course we need to be thankful to Our heavenly Father all day every day.  But this is time that we really start thinking about the first Thanksgiving and why the Pilgrim's were so thankful to God.  And it makes me think how privileged I am in living in a free land, where we can worship God in the way we think is right.

I know there are times when we struggle with different things.  Hard things.  But, we are so blessed to have a God that loves us and hears us when we cry out to Him.  And I find that when we are going through tough times, it helps when we say some of the things we are thankful for.  Maybe keep a diary to right down a few things each day.  And then when we go through tough times, looking back on all the things God has given you and done for you, can really help you keep things into perspective
Here are some things that I am really thankful for.

~ My merciful,  heavenly, all knowing, all  righteous God.  Who is faithful and loving.  Even when I mess up.

~ God's Holy Word.

~ My amazing wonderful family.  Who love me...even when I mess up. : )

~ Freedom.

~ Good food. : )

~ My sisters in Christ.

~ Hot tea.

~ Chocolate....milkshakes....chocolate....peppermint....cinnanmon....hot chocolate..... : )

And there are some of the many many things I am thankful for!
Thank you dear God for all these things!

My dear readers,  What are some of the things you are thankful for?

Prayer Requests.

Hello my Dear Readers!

I am so very sorry that I have not posted in so long!  Life seems to be happening in abundance of late!
I was going to post about my 18th birthday, but I have not yet had time to down load the pictures.  Or make even a blog post in almost a month!  Please forgive me for my neglect of posting regularly!

I have three quick prayer requests.

* One, a friend of ours has lost his job. Please pray that he finds another one soon. And also pray that we may be God's shinning light to this unsaved couple!

* Two, my Poppa was in a car accident today. He was okay, but his back is now hurting him and he banged he right knee. The car is a total. So please pray for Peace and healing for him, and also that all things would some how work out for  a new car.

* My friend and her family are going home for Russia tomorrow. Please pray for there safety.

Thank you my dear readers!
